FLASH! New Trail Closings

Trail closures in the next two weeks

We have just been informed that VT FPR has opened a section of the state park to a logging operation for the next month or so and has been forced to close a section of the Norcross trail to all traffic. Bikers and hikers can detour via Back Mountain Rd. (VT44A) and the Windsor Trailhead.

Ascutney Trails main network (Ascutney Outdoors Center and West Windsor Town Forest Trailheads) will be closed this Friday and Saturday, July 11th and 12th as we host the Ragnar Relay Race. Swoops and Loops, Weathersfield Town Forest, and the rest of Norcross Trail will remain open to mountainbiking and hiking, with out-and-back access from the State Park entrance. Summit-bound hiking trails will be unaffected.

Also, be aware that the Flow State MTB Festival will be taking place July 25-27 and the main network trails will be closed to non-festival attendees. Also, soon thereafter, the logging will be extended toward the state park campground. Stay tuned for updates about exactly when, and planned detours.
