The Vermont Overland running and gravel bike races will be utilizing the Ascutney Trails on the mountain this weekend - August 15-16. They will be using more of our trails than in previous years. The ski area, Mile-Long Field and Town Forest trailhead areas will be closed Sunday during the running races, and there will be major trail disruptions in the Ascutney Outdoors Center area all weekend, starting Friday afternoon. 6/30/2026 One bit of wisdom I heard from my mother She’d say, “One good turn deserves another” Don’t know what her term “turn” may stand for - The spins and the dips that she did on the dance floor? What other turns did she deserve? Being quite ladylike, She was never on skis, and she didn’t ever mountain bike As for us, this week, we’ll earn turns with ease Spinning our wheels as we dance through the trees We’ll be riding Mt.
