We have lost lots of leaves
Oak, maple, beech, hickory
Now they cover the trails
And rain’s made them slippery
Add in rocks and roots
That are hidden and still wet
Bad enough in the daytime
But we start out at sunset
So, rather than risking
Skinned knee or concussion
Let’s call it a rainout
