Trail Day Saturday

Jim Lyall

10/14/2023

The weather is working in our favor for a change. Rain looks like it’s going to hold off until Saturday afternoon, so we are moving forward with the scheduled trail work day. We’re expecting high winds Friday night, so most of the leaves will be down way early this year. With a full month of riding still available, we plan to leaf blow the trails and chase them out of hiding. Special attention will be given to the course for the high school race on the 18th - particularly the southern, wooded section. We’ll also tweak a few spots - wet areas on Blue Dipper will get some gravel and wood chips and some berms on Cloud Climber will get some fresh dirt.

We’ll meet at the West Windsor Town Forest Lot (750 Coaching Lane) at 8:30, get assignments and then fan out from there, returning about noon. If you have a leaf blower, please bring it, but we will have a few. Other tools - leaf rakes and shovels may come in handy. See you then.
